3 Buy-Low Fantasy Football Candidates to Target in Trades
By Zach Brunner

Fantasy football is all about opportunity. That's true for the players on the field as well as fantasy owners. And one way to take advantage of an opportunity is to buy low on certain players who could improve upon their early-season woes.
With that in mind, here are three buy-low fantasy football candidates to target in trades.
1. Le'Veon Bell, RB, New York Jets
In standard scoring, Le'Veon Bell ranks as RB15 through three weeks, finding the end zone just once. While his schedule looks tough coming out of the Jets' Week 4 bye, the schedule opens up as of Week 8 with a run of games against the Jaguars, Dolphins (twice), Giants, Redskins, Raiders and Bengals. Averaging 3.7 yards per touch and 25.3 touches per game, the opportunities for Bell will be there and the offense as a whole should improve with the return of Sam Darnold. If a fantasy owner in your league has grown weary of the Jets' offensive issues, then offering a trade for the team's running back could pay dividends.
2. Robert Woods, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Finishing as WR10 in standard scoring last season, Robert Woods currently ranks as WR54 through Week 3 of the 2019 NFL season. He's caught 13 passes for 143 yards and a touchdown, but has seen 23 targets during the first three games of the year – ranking 26th among wide receivers. This puts him on track for more than 120 targets, which is slightly below the 130 he tallied last season. The Rams offense as a whole has yet to take off, but with a positive Week 4 matchup against a Tampa Bay defense that gave up 336 passing yards to New York Giants rookie Daniel Jones last week, this could your last chance to buy low on Woods.
3. Joe Mixon, RB, Cincinnati Bengals
Joe Mixon has been dinged up all year. He's averaging 2.7 yards per carry in 2019, down from 4.9 last season. As Mixon's health improves and with the impending return of A.J. Green, the running back could be in for a breakout in the coming weeks. He's known for making big plays and being a bellcow back, something that made him RB11 durinh 2019 fantasy football drafts. After running for 1,168 yards in 14 games last season, Mixon has the ability and upside to match that total again this season. If you're considering making a trade for Mixon, now could be your best buy-low opportunity.
