With a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, the Denver Broncos fell to 2-4, as their disappointing season continues. There were high expectations for this team coming into the season, but it seems like they'll be competing for nothing but draft position this year. This means Denver will likely look to gain some draft capital before the NFL trade deadline.

With that in mind, these are three Broncos who could be traded before the deadline.

1. Phillip Lindsay, RB

While Phillip Lindsay is a local favorite and a solid contributor, the Broncos will have to fill many holes this offseason, and they already have committed to Melvin Gordon in their backfield. This means that Lindsay, on an expiring contract, could be expendable, especially if they believe he will not resign for cheap.

2. Shelby Harris, DE

Shelby Harris is the highest-graded defensive player on the Broncos this season, per Pro Football Focus. With Denver spending more on their defense than any other team this season, re-signing Harris in the offseason could prove to be an impossible task. So, trading him while his value is high is wise. He combines the ability to rush the passer and defend the run, which will be highly-coveted by contenders.

3. Justin Simmons, S

Justin Simmons is another starter on the defensive side of the ball that is playing well, but also has an expiring contract. Simmons is elite as a run defender from the safety position, which is incredibly valuable when thinking about the rushing attacks from the top contenders in the league, currently. If Denver does not think they are capable of re-signing him, then Simmons should be dealt for a draft pick or two.
