Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is in the midst of another great NFL season as he led the team with 1,006 receiving yards in the regular season and has scored a career-high 13 touchdowns. His play will have a major impact this Sunday as the Buccaneers take on the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game.
1. Mike Evans - To Score a Touchdown: Yes (+145)
Evans' performance last week proved that he can still be a red zone threat even if he is being shut down in coverage. He had just one catch, but it was for a touchdown. Evans led all Buccaneers wide receivers with 19 red zone targets in the regular season and remains one of Tom Brady's favorite options in the passing game. Evans has scored a touchdown in 11 of his 18 games played this season and his big frame makes him a mismatch against any cornerback at that end of the field.
2. Mike Evans - Receiving Yards: Under 62.5 (-112)
This is another tough matchup for Mike Evans. He has struggled against top tier cornerbacks this season and now likely goes head-to-head with Jaire Alexander. Alexander covered Evans for almost 80% of his routes back in Week 6 and held him to zero catches while in coverage. Plus, Evans hasn't surpassed 60 receiving yards in five of his last eight games. It would take a healthy amount of targets for Evans to reach this number and that just doesn't seem like it will happen.
3. Mike Evans - Longest Reception: Under 23.5 Yards (-108)
This prop bet basically goes hand in hand with the matchup against Alexander. Alexander is only giving up 10.0 yards per reception allowed this season, which ranks as the seventh-lowest total among NFL cornerbacks. Evans has averaged 16.8 yards per reception over the last three games, but will likely not see as many targets as usual in this subpar matchup. It is much more likely that Evans is able to rip off multiple catches for 10-15 yards than it is for him to have over 23.5 yards on any one reception.
