In Week 1, the Arizona Cardinals head west into the smoke to take on the San Francisco 49ers. As you can imagine, the Cardinals are the clear road underdogs.

However, Arizona played San Francisco tough last season. This means we could see some surprises in this game. With that in mind, here are three bold predictions for the Cardinals against the 49ers.

3. Arizona Holds San Francisco Under 350 Total Yards

The 49ers averaged the eighth-most yards last season (374.2), while the Cardinals gave up the most in the league (402.0). Still, Arizona made it a point to address their defense in free agency, signing Jordan Phillips, Devon Kennard and De'Vondre Campbell. Also, this looks to be a different San Francisco offense. Their weapons are beat up, outside of George Kittle. If Arizona doesn't need to respect the passing game as much, they can commit more bodies to the running game and stop this offense.

2. Seven Players Have Multiple Catches

This Cardinals offense has weapons all over the field. They have two threats in the backfield, with Kenyan Drake and Chase Edmonds. There's the big three wide receiver trio of DeAndre Hopkins, Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk. Then, the Cardinals have another two or three players like Andy Isabella or tight end Maxx Williams than can step up and play a role in this tough matchup.

1. Isaiah Simmons Forces a Turnover

Isaiah Simmons is the Cardinals' prized rookie selection, out of Clemson. Simmons is a freak athlete for Arizona that will be all over the field. We could see him rushing the passer just as much as dropping back into coverage. At the end of the day, he's a mismatch. He intercepted three passes and forced two fumbles last season.
