Hammerle's countryman Jakob Dusek (+550) is a leading contender to earn a medal and he has one World Cup win in Cervinia in Dec. 2021. He also finished fourth in the 2021 World Championships.

Martin Noerl of Germany (+500) is also in the hunt. He finished eighth overall in the snowboard cross at the 2018 Winter Games.
