When it comes to picking matchups in the NBA Playoffs, sometimes playing the chalk is all you need to do to follow the money in the world of sports betting.
This has been especially true for the 2018-19 NBA Playoffs thus far, as the favorites are currently both 15-4 straight up (SU) and 15-4 against the spread (ATS) through the first 19 games.
Happy #GoodFriday to all bettors, certainly been a Great week for #NBA favorites. Chalk on an 14-1 run, 15-4 both SU and ATS in this year's playoffs. OVER (3-0) rebounded last night, UNDER 11-7-1 overall. #NBAPlayoffs https://t.co/ZqddAUchXL pic.twitter.com/mLk36qxbbZ— VegasInsider.com (@TwitVI) April 19, 2019
Home-court advantage has been on full display as well, with home teams going 13-6 ATS in the playoffs. The total has also gone under in 11 of the 19 NBA playoff games so far.
It's no secret that it's tough to win on the road in the postseason of any league, but this early pattern of dominance by the favorites in this year's race for the Larry O'Brien Trophy is certainly worth noting.
