If you already find yourself craving more football just days after the Super Bowl, the XFL has you covered. And if you want your fantasy sports fix? You're covered there too, with XFL fantasy football.

The eight teams all have championship aspirations as Week 1 of the XFL season kicks off this weekend. We've already got you covered with Week 1 XFL fantasy football rankings, and now here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for the week as well.

Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for XFL Fantasy Football Week 1

Start Landry Jones, QB, Dallas Renegades (vs STL): The former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is leading a Renegades team that are the biggest favorites of Week 1 according to most oddsmakers. The betting markets are one of the few indicators we have of how things may play out in the first week for the new league, and we know from NFL fantasy football that QBs on winning teams tend to put up strong efficiency numbers and solid fantasy production.

Start Sammie Coates, WR, Houston Roughnecks (vs LA): Another former Steeler, Sammie Coates did show some impressive big-play ability in his short NFL career. In 2016 (the only season in which he started more than one game) he averaged a massive 20.7 yards per reception on 21 catches. The XFL promises to be a passing-heavy league, and Coates' upside is huge if he can hit on a couple splash plays this week.

Sit Christine Michael, RB, St. Louis BattleHawks (at DAL): The BattleHawks made Michael the first running back off the board in the 2020 XFL Draft, but he might get off to a slow start to the season. Things are going to be unpredictable in Week 1, but most sportsbooks have the BattleHawks as the biggest underdogs of the week. Michael never showed much as a receiver in the NFL (26 receptions in 38 games), and if St. Louis is playing from behind all game, he could get scripted out of his debut.

Sit Josh Johnson, QB, Los Angeles Wildcats (at HOU): Johnson is expected to be a game-time decision in Week 1, and even if he suits up he's best to steer clear of. The risk that he's ineffective or aggravates his injury while playing banged up is worth noting, and the Wildcats are also significant underdogs according to the betting lines, getting 5.5 points on some books. The 33-year-old brings some NFL experience (eight starts since being drafted in 2009), but his XFL career isn't likely to get off to a hot start in Week 1.
