The Chicago White Sox are looking like a much improved team heading into a potential shortened 2020 MLB season, and one of the solid moves they made this offseason was adding outfielder Nomar Mazara from the Texas Rangers.

The White Sox got to see his potential first-hand last year, when he launched the longest home run of the entire 2019 MLB season in a matchup with the White Sox.

That 505-foot blast was the only homer longer than 500 feet in 2019, and it was tied for the longest of the Statcast era.

Mazara isn't exactly an elite slugger, either. He's hit either 19 or 20 home runs in each of his four MLB seasons, but his career-best slugging percentage is just .469.

He picked his hard-hit rate up to a career-best 45.3 percent in 2019 though, and with shots like this he clearly has the potential to contribute some big power numbers to the White Sox lineup.
