Every once in a while, we'll see a wild NFL game turn into a flat-out offensive shootout, where it truly seems as though it is quarterback versus quarterback, despite never being on the field at the same time. In this throwback, we remember the absolute shootout between Drew Brees and Eli Manning, back in 2015.

The Week 8 matchup featured the 3-4 New Orleans Saints hosting the 4-3 New York Giants, with both teams in need of a win. After three quick first-quarter touchdown passes thrown (two by Brees), it became obvious that the teams needed to score to win, with very little defense coming to play.

There were at least three touchdowns thrown in each quarter of this back-and-forth game. Though coming up on the wrong side of the 52-49 loss, it was Manning that arguably had the more impressive performance. He completed 30-of-41 passes for 350 yards and six touchdowns, without throwing an interception. His favorite weapon in the game was Odell Beckham Jr., who finished with eight catches for 130 yards and three touchdowns.

Brees threw a big touchdown strike with 36 seconds left in the fourth quarter to tie the game, then the Saints were able to get the ball back for a 50-yard field goal to win it. Brees completed 39-of-50 passes for 505 yards and seven touchdowns to two interceptions.

Brees actually threw eight touchdowns, if you count the pick-six to Trumaine McBride. Brees' top receiver on the day was tight end Ben Watson, who finished with nine catches for 147 yards and a touchdown.
