VIDEO: Projected Miami Hurricane First-Round Pick Runs Insane 40-Yard Dash for Defensive Lineman

Miami Hurricanes edge rusher Jaelan Phillips is one of the top players at his position heading into the 2021 NFL Draft. Projected to be a late first-round pick by many heading into this week, his recent performance at Miami's Pro Day could improve that draft stock.
The 6-foot5 265-pound lineman put on an impressive in the 40-yard dash, recording an unofficial 4.56. Fellow defensive lineman from Miami, Gregory Rousseau has gotten more buzz up to this point, and is projected to go a few picks ahead of Phillips, but that could change after this run.
All you can say is ???.@JJPhillips15 just ran an unofficial ?.?? in his first 40-yard dash!

Last week, linebacker/edge rusher, Micah Parsons, out of Penn State ran a 4.39 40-yard dash and had the NFL world buzzing. And Parsons is two inches shorter and 20 pounds lighter than Phillips. So this, in ways, is just as impressive and could create similar buzz for Phillips as the draft grows near.
Jaelin Phillips is a DE prospect in the 2021 draft class. He scored a 9.99 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 3 out of 1345 DE from 1987 to 2021.

Splits projected, times unofficial, with the correct broad (had 115", but it's 125").https://t.co/3YnkIqkMto #RAS pic.twitter.com/LO4tHzVL6z
With pro days still happening around the country, there's definitely more opportunity for scouts to be impressed, but this was certainly a great showing by Philips that should pay dividends come the end of April.
