JaVale McGee has never been viewed as the most conventional guy on an NBA court. But every once in a while he outdoes himself and pulls off an unexpected move, which is exactly what he did in the Los Angeles Lakers' latest preseason game against the Golden State Warriors.
During one of the Lakers' possessions, as McGee cut toward the basket, he appeared to pull up and started emphatically limping, as one would do when suffering a leg injury.
Draymond Green, who was defending McGee, notices this and decides to pull his attention away from the Lakers' center, who had ventured out of bounds.
As soon as McGee sees this, he all of a sudden springs back into shape and sneaks under the hoop for an easy dunk, as if the injury never happened.
McGee gets his two points and leaves Green dumbfounded, wondering how he just got fooled that bad.
Some may call it bush league, others may call it a savvy move from an experienced veteran. Regardless of how you feel, it all looks the same on the scoreboard, and it seems that's all McGee cares about.
Let's wait and see if he pulls a similar move on NBA Opening Night.
