Tight end, along with quarterback, is one of the most matchup-dependent positions in fantasy football. That can make streaming the position (adding a new tight end off the waiver wire each week) an extremely effective strategy.

After two of our three picks scored a TD last week, here are the three best streaming tight ends to target for Week 5.

Fantasy TEs to Stream Week 5

3. Logan Thomas, Washington Football Team (25% Rostered)

Believe it or not, former Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas currently has the sixth-most targets among all tight ends. That hasn't exactly translated into too much production, as Thomas is the TE23 on the year, but that much volume makes anyone worth a look. He'll take on a Los Angeles Rams' defense that's currently surrendering top-12 production to opposing TEs. This is a decent spot for Thomas, especially with Washington likely to be forced into a pass-heavy game script.

2. Mo Alie-Cox, Indianapolis Colts (33% Rostered)

Mo Alie-Cox has been red hot lately. The Indianapolis Colts' tight end is averaging 58.0 receiving yards per game over his last three while scoring 2 touchdowns in that time. He's only seen a combined 11 targets during that stretch, but Philip Rivers has barely needed to throw the ball. He's been held under 30 pass attempts in each of the last three as Indianapolis has been winning games handily thanks to the league's best defense. That unit gets a much tougher test in Week 5 against a scorching hot Cleveland Browns' offense, however. Rivers should be forced to throw a lot more often on Sunday, and that could lead to a nice showing from the notorious M.A.C.

1. Eric Ebron, Pittsburgh Steelers (27% Rostered)

Eric Ebron is coming off his best game as a Pittsburgh Steeler. He turned a season-high 7 targets into 5 catches for 52 yards and a touchdown in Week 3. He should keep that momentum going against a Philadelphia Eagles defense that's currently surrendering top-three fantasy production to opposing tight ends.
