Defensive scoring in fantasy football depends more on weekly matchups than maybe any other position. There are very few true every-week starting options out there, and all but the absolute worst defenses can be worth using if they're in the right matchup.

Every week there are plenty of defenses worth starting that are available on the waiver wire, and it pays to be vigilant in keeping up with the best weekly plays at the position.

With that said, here are the top three fantasy football streaming defenses for Week 6, all of which are owned in fewer than 50 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Football leagues.

3. Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (48% Owned)

The Philadelphia Eagles are a risky play as underdogs against the high-powered Dallas Cowboys' offense, but their impressive pass rush still leaves them with big fantasy upside. The Eagles are one of only two teams scoring knockdowns on at least 10 percent of their opponents' pass attempts, and getting to the QB that often means we can likely expect an improvement in their 5.8 percent sack rate (No. 21 in the NFL) moving forward. The Eagles' 14.5 percent takeaway rate is also the 11th highest in the league.

2. New York Giants vs Arizona Cardinals (9% Owned)

The Arizona Cardinals are allowing the seventh-highest sack rate (8.1 percent) of any offense, and mixing that with their league-leading pace has them as one of only six teams to allow over 20 sacks so far in 2019. The New York Giants defense has done a solid job getting to the quarterback, ranking 11th with a 7.6 percent sack rate. This game has some shootout potential, giving the Giants a low floor, but the potential for a high sack total gives them some nice upside if you're in a bind at the position.

1. Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans (11% Owned)

The Indianapolis Colts' defense hasn't been anything special this season, but they did just hold the Kansas City Chiefs to only 13 points before their Week 6 bye. Their poor pass rush has kept their fantasy value in check, but they should see an improvement in that area against a Houston Texans team that is giving up an 8.2 percent sack rate. There isn't a single defense in the top 12 of our Week 7 PPR fantasy football rankings that is owned in less than 50 percent of leagues, but the Colts are the top streaming option of a thin group.
