Since the Dallas Cowboys are one of the Philadelphia Eagles' fiercest rivals, poaching a key free agent creates a win-win situation. With both teams perennially competing for the NFC East title and postseason glory, the Eagles should be on the lookout for potential additions from the Cowboys' roster.

One such that sticks out, set to become an unrestricted free agent next offseason, is Cowboys cornerback Chidobe Awuzie.

Awuzie started all 16 games at cornerback for Dallas in 2019, establishing himself as a reliable force in the secondary, and with a new Dak Prescott contract still a priority, the Cowboys may not be able to pay him what he's looking for.

With 14 pass breakups and a very solid overall grade of 72.2 on Pro Football Focus last year, Awuzie is talented and just 25 years old.

The Cowboys also just selected Trevon Diggs in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and they're already shifting away from spending big money in the secondary after letting Byron Jones walk.

With Diggs looking like the long-term bet for Dallas at cornerback, it creates a perfect situation for the Eagles to swoop in and sign Awuzie. This move could simultaneously make Dallas thinner in the secondary while adding a valuable long-term piece to the Eagles, who need to solidify their defense in the 2021 offseason.

The Eagles shored up their secondary with Darius Slay and Nickell Robey-Coleman this year, but they also have Jalen Mills, Rasul Douglas and Sidney Jones all set to hit free agency next offseason.

The Eagles must continue to build around Carson Wentz' prime. Targeting Chidobe Awuzie during the offseason would be a great way to restock their secondary while keeping the defense young and hurting a division rival.
