The MLB trade deadline is almost here and the Chicago Cubs will likely be sellers as they currently own a 44-46 record on the year. One major trade piece they have on the roster is veteran Kris Bryant, who recently stated that his favorite position to play out on the diamond is center field.

The four-time All-Star is hitting .271/.353/.502 on the season and could help out a contender looking for an upgrade in the outfield. With that being said, here are three teams that should trade for Bryant.

Kris Bryant Trade Destinations

1. New York Yankees

It's no secret that the New York Yankees are underperforming so far this season. They have remained around a .500 record for the last month or so and are in need of a spark plug like Bryant. Although the team recently traded for outfielder Tim Locastro, Bryant has racked up 50 runs scored and 46 RBI on the season. That is middle-of-the-lineup type of production. The Yankees play in a hitter-friendly ballpark and could sway the Cubs to deal Bryant given their reputation for shelling out the big bucks when necessary. This is a move that would only improve the team's playoff chances.

2. Philadelphia Phillies

The Philadelphia Phillies have struggled to find any kind of production from their center fielders this season. They have had six different players draw at least one start at the position and current starter Odubel Herrera has posted a low .292 on-base percentage through 62 games played. Bryant would give the team an immediate power bat to slide into the starting lineup alongside Rhys Hoskins and Bryce Harper. He has hit 16 home runs on the season and is a former NL MVP. Bryant becomes an unrestricted free agent following this season, but he is well worth the gamble for the Phillies.

3. Atlanta Braves

Another NL East team in need of some outfield help is the Atlanta Braves. Marcell Ozuna hasn't been with the team since the end of May and the Braves just lost superstar Ronald Acuna Jr. for the year due to an ACL injury. Trading for Bryant is one way Atlanta could revamp its offensive firepower and get back in the race for the division title. The 29-year-old slugger is enjoying a major bounce-back season in 2021. Plus, the Braves have a number of highly-regarded prospects that the Cubs would likely be interested in. That seems like a win for both sides.
