Sony Michel is a surprise inactive against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4. This is obviously a blow to the New England Patriots' offense, but it's also tough news for Michel, who was coming off a stellar 117-rushing yard performance in Week 3.

In his absence, the rest of the Patriots' running backs all get a boost in value, though it'll be tough to know who to trust against a quietly-stout Chiefs' defense.

James White Fantasy Outlook

James White is making his return after a two-game absence due to suffering a personal tragedy. He looked like his usual self in his lone appearance on the year, turning 8 opportunities (5 carries, 3 targets) into 52 yards from scrimmage in Week 1.

White is a fine play in PPR leagues, but his ceiling takes a pretty big hit because Brian Hoyer is stepping in for Cam Newton, who tested positive for COVID-19.

Rex Burkhead Fantasy Outlook

Rex Burkhead has been absurdly productive this year. He's turned just 35 opportunities (19 attempts plus 16 targets) into 179 yards from scrimmage and 3 touchdowns. That puts him un an unsustainable 16-game pace to rack up 955 yards from scrimmage and 16 touchdowns.

He's likely to serve as New England's primary option on the ground in Week 4 while also adding some real value as a pass-catcher. He's a solid start this week and a great replacement for Michel.

Damien Harris Fantasy Outlook

Damien Harris is the wild card of this group. He was reportedly tearing up the Patriots training camp before a hand injury forced the team to place him on injured reserve. Thankfully, it's looking like he'll be making his season debut here.

He's too much of a question mark to be worth a start in Week 4. But, if you have a player you're confident you'll be dropping for waivers this week, go ahead and give Harris a speculative add. If he has a good game then you've picked up a solid waiver wire option without using your FAAB or priority, and if he does nothing then you can just drop him to pick up someone else later in the week.

He's a zero-cost, high-reward gamble on the waiver wire right now.
