Whenever a player is up for contract extensions, things can get worrisome for both a team's fans and the organization itself. After all, history has shown that professional athletes are willing to hold out until the team meets their demands. Fortunately, it doesn't look like the New Orleans Saints will have to go through that with one of their young stars.

Ryan Ramczyk has been a force on the Saints' offensive line since being drafted in 2017. However, he's in the final year of his current contract, which means reporters (unsurprisingly) have been asking him about contract extensions or a potential hold out.

Saints reporter Nick Underhill reported on Wednesday that the 27-year-old offensive tackle has no plans to miss any time due to contract discussions.

Ryan Ramczyk Extension Rumors

While most NFL players want to make as much money as possible, Ramczyk isn't going to let contract talks disrupt his workflow. According to Luke Johnson of NOLA.com, the three-time All-Pro tackle is committed to showing up this offseason.

"It’s not going to change what I’m doing, how I train, how I approach the offseason... When camp comes around, I’m going to be here."

Regardless of if or when Ramczyk signs an extension, his loyalty to New Orleans is likely appreciated by the fanbase. After all, he's one part of the fourth-best offensive line in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus' 2021 rankings.

Ramczyk was on the field for 1,038 offensive snaps last season, allowing just 2 sacks while taking 5 penalties. PFF gave him an overall grade of 81.5 when all was said and done, which ranks him as one of the better tackles in the league.

The Saints will need their offensive linemen to be at the top of their game if they want to go on a championship run next season. New Orleans is currently tied for the 14th-best odds to win Super Bowl 56 at +3000, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
