The shakeup in the Cy Young race isn't just in the American League. New York Mets ace Jacob deGrom remains out the past month with forearm and elbow issues, and his dominating season is on hold. So are his chances to win the National League Cy Young Award and MVP.

deGrom was the heavy -550 favorite just two weeks ago, but he's fallen to +2200 in the current Cy Young odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Walker Buehler (+270) of the Los Angeles Dodgers is now the slight NL Cy Young favorite with five other pitchers very much in the race. Buehler is 11-2 and leads the NL with a 2.16 ERA. Just behind are Freddy Peralta (2.21), Brandon Woodruff (2.26), Kevin Gausman (2.31), Trevor Rodgers (2.45) Zack Wheeler (2.57) and Max Scherzer (2.75).

Wheelers leads the National League in strikeouts (170) with the others registering at least 157. But deGrom had 146 in just 92 innings, and nobody was having even close to his dominant season. deGrom had a 0.55 WHIP and .129 batting average against. Peralta leads all others with a 0.89 WHIP and .136 BAA.
