The New York Mets have finally got good news regarding an injury update as starting pitcher Marcus Stroman's MRI on his hip has come back clean. That is great news as the Mets cannot afford to lose one of their best pitchers as the team currently sits atop the NL East division with at 37-31 record.

Mets Injury Update
Mets fans grew concerned when Stroman left his start on Tuesday night against the Atlanta Braves after pitching just 1.0 inning. He had only faced five batters and threw 23 pitches before he headed down the stairs and into the locker room due to left hip soreness.
The 30-year-old righty underwent an MRI this morning to determine the extent of his injury and it ended up being the best case scenario. Stroman is considered "day-to-day" at this point as the Mets work to decide if he will need an injured list stint or whether he will even miss any turns in the rotation.
Stroman's stellar play has been a major reason why the Mets have had success so far this season as he has posed a 6-5 record to go along with a 2.32 ERA through his first 15 starts. Overall, he has racked up 75 strikeouts in 85.1 innings pitched.
The Mets currently have the fourth-best odds to win the World Series at +850, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
