The 2019-20 LSU Tigers had a historically great season. With Joe Burrow at the helm, the team broke record after record en route to a 15-0 finish and a 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship. And the Tigers have a chance to break yet another record, this time in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Most Draft Picks From One School Record

Since the NFL moved to a seven-round NFL Draft in 1994, no school has ever had more than 14 players drafted in a single season. That record belongs to the 2003-04 Ohio State Buckeyes, who saw 14 players selected in the 2004 NFL Draft after finishing the season with an 11-2 record.

LSU has a chance to break that record, though. The Tigers had 16 players receive an invite to the 2020 NFL Combine, and 14 players were rated as top-200 prospects, according to Scout's Inc.

Notably, LSU's over/under for Tigers players drafted in the first round has also been set at 5.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. That also ties LSU with Alabama for the highest such over/under.

With the NFL Draft just a week away, LSU's record-breaking potential adds yet another layer of excitement to what should be a fantastic event.
