With an 8-8 record in the 2020 NFL season, the Arizona Cardinals will look to turn things around in 2021. The clear-cut way to do so? Lean on the always-dynamic Kyler Murray. The third-year signal-caller showed serious improvements in his sophomore campaign and proved to be a gift to fantasy football managers by finishing as QB2 in PPR with 390.74 points.

Kyler Murray Fantasy Outlook

After a promising rookie year, Murray surpassed that performance in just about every way in 2020. He set new career-highs in passing yards (3,971), passing touchdowns (26) and managed to get sacked 21 fewer times (27) than he did in the previous year (48).

While Murray's aerial performance certainly improved, as did his ground game. Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson was the only signal-caller who had more rushing yards (1,005) in 2020 than Murray (819). Considering how the next closest player was New England's Cam Newton with 592, that just goes to show how elite of a rusher Murray can be. He also proved that by having the second-most rushing touchdowns (11) out of all quarterbacks, as well.

It certainly helps that Murray has a plethora of reliable pass-catching talents surrounding him. DeAndre Hopkins is easily a top-5 wideout in today's NFL and Christian Kirk has proven to be one of Murray's favorite targets over the last two years. That's not even to mention how Arizona brought in seven-time Pro-Bowl WR A.J. Green over the offseason, who's attempting a bounce-back year after a couple of disappointing campaigns. There's also some pass-catching talent in the backfield as proven by RB Chase Edmonds having 53 receptions for 402 yards and 4 touchdowns last year.

Kyler Murray ADP

FantasyPros has ranked Murray as QB3 ahead of the 2021 NFL season with an average draft position (ADP) of 35.7. Meanwhile, he's listed as QB4 on The Duel's fantasy football rankings. He's going to do damage with his legs and fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised by another step up in his passing attack.
