Joe Mixon Injury Update Could Significantly Boost Giovani Bernard Fantasy Outlook

Joe Mixon is currently questionable to return to the Cincinnati Bengals' Week 6 game against the Indianapolis Colts. He looked to be on his way to a decent game before exiting with the injury, turning 11 carries into 44 yards and a score.
Though there's nothing concrete on Mixon's status quite yet, any potential absence would be a huge boost to Giovani Bernard's fantasy outlook.

Giovani Bernard Fantasy Outlook
Bernard hasn't done much this season. He has just 5 yards from scrimmage (and 1 TD) on 6 touches today, and he has just 131 yards from scrimmage on 17 touches this season.
Of course, were Mixon to miss any time, Bernard would begin seeing some significant volume.
Prior to this week, Mixon had been averaging 24.8 opportunities (carries plus targets) per game. Bernard would be likely soak up a significant portion of those opportunities if Mixon can't play against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7.
Mixon did start the second half for Cincinnati, but his status will be important to monitor going forward. If he re-aggravates the injury Bernard could become one of the best waiver wire pickups of the week.
Joe Mixon Update
Mixon did return to the game for the Bengals, so it looks like the backfield roles will remain unchanged for the time being. It will still be worth keeping an eye on Mixon's status throughout the week, as even a slight reduction in his volume could have a significant impact on his fantasy outlook.
