— #Jets safety Marcus Maye is feared to have torn his Achilles, which would mean he’s out for the season. Coach Robert Saleh said, “It doesn’t look good.”
— #Jets QB Mike White said his forearm was feeling better by the end. He should be ok when he’s called on.
Marcus Maye Injury Update
Saleh kept his update short and simple, saying "it doesn't look good."
The fear is that Maye possible tore his Achilles tendon and that would leave the Jets without their second-best tackler for the remainder of the 2021 campaign.
“Marcus was kind of that settling force back there and obviously a heck of a football player. I’m more concerned for Marcus than I am what we’ll do defensively to try to fill that void because he’s a fantastic young man, he’s done everything we’ve asked him to do and I’m sick for him.”
- Robert Saleh
Maye has notched 46 combined tackles through 6 games including 1.0 sack and 4 tackles for loss in 2021.
