George Kittle Injury Update Strengthens Jordan Reed Fantasy Outlook

San Francisco 49ers star tight end George Kittle will be out for a second straight game in Week 3. The team announced on Friday afternoon the former Iowa tight end would miss the game against the New York Giants as he continues to deal with knee injuries.
George Kittle Fantasy Outlook
George Kittle has had a rough start to the season as one of the league's top tight ends. Already missing two of his first three games along with lackluster numbers in Week 1, fantasy managers are waiting for him to live up to his draft position.
George Kittle is officially out for Sunday, per Kyle Shanahan.

Jordan Reed Fantasy Outlook
Fellow tight end Jordan Reed was the one who benefitted the most from Kittle's absence in Week 2. Once thought to be destined for retirement over concussion concerns, Reed stormed back in a big way in Week 2. Reed hauled in 7 catches or 50 yards and 2 TDs.
While Reed draws a tougher matchup this week, with the Giants ranking No. 4 in the NFL against tight ends in fantasy thus far, if he gets anywhere close to that type of volume, he should be a viable replacement this week for anyone with Kittle on their roster. If Reed is available in your league, consider adding him.
