For most of the week, it looked like George Kittle would be sidelined for his second consecutive game. However, the San Francisco 49ers' superstar was able to get in a limited practice on Thursday, which gives him a much better shot at suiting up come Sunday.

Obviously if Kittle is active his fantasy managers are going to start him. But Kittle playing would erase all of Jordan Reed's appeal as a streaming tight end.

Jordan Reed Fantasy Outlook

The oft-injured Reed was one of the few healthy 49ers in Week 2. That helped him have a monster game, as he finished with 7 catches for 50 yards and 2 scores. He saw 8 targets on the day, and it's reasonable to expect a similar amount in Week 3 if Kittle can't go.

He likely won't have Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback, though, as the 49ers' signal-caller is probably going to miss the game due to a high ankle sprain. Nick Mullens at quarterback makes starting any 49ers' pass-catcher a risky proposition, as Mullens went 8-of-11 for 71 yards and a pick in relief of Jimmy G.

San Francisco does draw a juicy matchup against a beatable New York Giants' defense, though.

The 49ers' injury situation will be important for fantasy managers to monitor in the coming days.
