The Atlanta Falcons remade their quarterback room in short order this offseason after trading away Matt Ryan. Now there appears to be a battle brewing in Atlanta as veteran free-agent signing Marcus Mariota and third-round pick Desmond Ridder look to earn the title of QB1.

The team has made it clear they'll evaluate all the options to determine a Week 1 starter, and that could include a recently undrafted gunslinger as well.

Drew Plitt had a workout for the Falcons on Wednesday, according to Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network. Arthur Smith currently has only three QBs on the roster, so adding another arm to the mix for training camp potentially makes sense.

Plitt spent five years at Ball State and hit his stride over his last three seasons, throwing for a combined 7,623 yards, 59 touchdowns to just 19 interceptions during to close out his career. He wasn't a prolific rusher, but he did rack up 14 rushing TDs during his time with the Cardinals.

Atlanta kicking the tires on another QB makes it clear they're open to adding at that position. It remains to be seen if Plitt showcased what the team is looking for.
