DJ Chark has gotten off to a curiously slow start to the year. He's underwhelmed in the two games he's played, and he had to sit out his Week 3 matchup with the Miami Dolphins due to a chest injury.

Thankfully for his fantasy football managers, though, it looks like he's on track to play in Week 4. That obviously gives his fantasy outlook a significant boost.

After a dominant 2019 campaign that saw him finish with 118 targets and 73 catches for 1,008 yards and 8 touchdowns (in 15 games), Chark only handled 7 targets over his first two weeks. He's actually been out-targeted by Keelan Cole during that span (12 targets).

Still, that feels like more of a fluke than anything. You have to assume Gardner Minshew will begin feeding Chark like he did last year sometime soon. Plus, Minshew has been playing much better than many anticipated he would (top-12 passer rating), and that's obviously a boon for Chark's value.

Chark has a real chance to turn it around this week, too. He gets a matchup with a Cincinnati Bengals team that checked in as the league's third-worst defense last year, according to Football Outsiders' DVOA metrics.

Assuming he's back to full health, Chark should be in for a bounce-back outing here.
