Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and wideout CeeDee Lamb didn't get a lot of time to build chemistry last season. In fact, they only played five games together before Prescott's season ended due to a gruesome ankle injury.

Fast forward to this month and the duo has been developing trust and chemistry at Dallas' minicamp. It's even at the point where Prescott has set the bar pretty high when it comes to his expectations for the second-year wideout.

Dallas Cowboys News

The Athletic's Jon Machota reported on Friday that Prescott's expectations for Lamb are "super high" and that he's excited to see his growth after the five games that they did play in together.

"It’s exciting what [Lamb's] going to offer and it’s exciting what he brings to this whole receiving corps and this offense. He’s a special playmaker that we’re privileged to have and he’ll be big time and definitely have a breakout season."

Dak Prescott,

While they did only have a handful of games together last season, Lamb looked pretty good catching passes from Prescott. The former 2020 first-round pick 29 receptions in the first five games of his NFL career for 433 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. Had he continued at the pace for the rest of the season, Lamb was projected to finish with 1,385 receiving yards and about 6 TDs. Instead, he finished with 935 yards and 5 scores with Andy Dalton as his quarterback, so there's a chance that his numbers could boom with Prescott back under center.

FanDuel Sportsbook seems to think that Dallas will bounce back in 2021 with a healthier, more complete roster. The Cowboys are currently favored to win the NFC East at +110 odds, while their Super Bowl odds sit at +2800.
