After a breakout 2019 season, things have not gone the same for Chris Godwin in 2020. One injury after the next has ruined Godwin's highly anticipated first season with Tom Brady, the latest being a finger issue.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finally provided some positive news before their game against the New Orleans Saints in Week 9.

Chris Godwin Week 9 Fantasy Outlook

Despite Godwin's probable return, the wide receiver's fantasy value is up for debate. This Bucs core of weapons has become extremely crowded overnight. Joining Mike Evans, Scotty Miller and Rob Gronkowski are Antonio Brown and Godwin himself. That doesn't even include running backs Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette.

When he's taken the field, Godwin has averaged 69.8 yards per game (YPG) this season. That number is much lower than his 95.2 YPG in 2019. He does have two touchdowns in four games though.

How much Godwin is involved in tonight's gameplan should be a good indicator of his value moving forward. This update obviously boosts that Week 9 outlook, but he's still not a surefire start depending on your options.
