While his stay on the injury report was short, Chris Godwin and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers received some great news on Wednesday. Godwin was removed from Tampa Bay's final injury report ahead of the Bucs much-anticipated Thursday Night Football matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

Chris Godwin Injury Update

Godwin was limited in Buccaneers practice earlier this week as he dealt with a quad injury. The injury never came off as serious, but with Week 1 kickoff approaching quickly on Thursday, there was a level of concern.

Tampa Bay looks to pick up where it left things off, a Super Bowl championship back in February. This is a favorable matchup for quarterback Tom Brady and his offense as Dallas gave up 386.4 total yards per game to opposing offenses in 2020. That ranked as the 10th-most across the league.

Godwin enters his fifth NFL season after setting a career-high 77.4% catch percentage. He ranked second on the Buccaneers in targets (84) and turned in 65 receptions for 840 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Tampa Bay enters Week 1 as 8.5-point home favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook.
