Tee Higgins Injury Update
Higgins suffered a shoulder injury during the team's Week 2 loss to the Chicago Bears that seems to still be lingering. He hasn't practiced all week, but has been rehabbing along the sidelines in order to get healthy. The 22-year-old isn't expected to be out for long and should return in Week 4.
The absence of Higgins will be a big hit to the Bengals' offense. The second-year WR has become a favorite target of quarterback Joe Burrow and is currently tied for the team lead in receptions (10) as well as touchdowns (2). Rookie Ja'Marr Chase will have to take on a larger workload for now.
Trae Waynes Injury Update
On the defensive side of the ball, it is not looking good for Waynes on Sunday. He still needs time to come back from a hamstring flare-up he suffered at the end of training camp. The veteran was a limited participant in practice on Friday and should be in line to make his season debut in Week 4.
Waynes has five seasons of NFL experience under his belt and brings much-needed leadership to this Cincinnati secondary. Overall, the 29-year-old has racked up 247 tackles, 42 pass breakups and 7 interceptions over the course of 74 games played in his career (53 starts).
The Bengals head into Week 3 slated as 3-point road underdogs against the Steelers, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
