After a month in second place in the AL West standings, the Houston Astros finally tied things up with the Oakland Athletics on Sunday in this heated division race. Houston is 8-2 in their last 10 games and now shares the division lead with their 43-28 overall record.

The news just keeps getting better for Houston as manager Dusty Baker revealed great injury updates to a trio of Astros players including Kyle Tucker, Bryan Abreu and Josh James.

Tucker, the Astros' starting left fielder, will be back in the lineup per Baker's recent comments.

Astros Injury Update

In addition to Tucker's return, the Astros got word that both Abreu and James will begin rebab assignments this week with the team's minor league affiliates.

Tucker has been sidelined since June 13 with a stomach illness not related to COVID-19. Although the left fielder reportedly lost 10 pounds because of this issue, he's a welcome punch back to the Astros lineup. Tucker is hitting .268/.326/.506 with 13 home runs and 43 RBIs this season.

Abreu, a key member of the Astros bullpen, has been out since the beginning of the month after injuring his leg while shagging balls during practice. James, another potential bullpen arm, hasn't seen the field in 2021 after undergoing left hip surgery.

Right now, the Astros own fifth-best odds to win the World Series (+900), according to the latest MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. Considering this team hasn't even been fully healthy throughout the year is a scary thought for other teams across the league.
