A common argument used against the "Kyler Murray for Heisman" crowd is that Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has yet to play in more than a handful of fourth quarters this season.

But when you eliminate the fourth-quarter statistics of both quarterbacks this season for a more evenly-comparative analysis, the stats tell a much different story -- in Murray's favor.

On the surface, that counterpoint would end the debate in Tua's favor. However, removing Murray's fourth-quarter production from the equation actually paints a much stronger Heisman argument for the Oklahoma signal-caller than his counterpart.

Now that's something that catches your attention, don't you think?

Murray's adjusted production puts an interesting spin on the Heisman debate going forward, but the Sooners' QB still has a lot of ground according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest Heisman odds.

Barring an Alabama loss or absolute dud performance from Tua, Murray's chances of catching his competition don't look great with only a few short weeks left in the season.

If only football games ended after 45 minutes instead of 60, then maybe Murray would have had a fighting chance at winning the Heisman this year.
