Jaylen Waddle was only able to play in six games for the Alabama Crimson Tide this past season due to a lingering ankle injury, but he remains a top wide receiver prospect in the 2021 NFL draft. He has racked up 1,999 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns during his three college seasons and has a real chance to hear his name called during the first round in April.

Multiple NFL teams are looking to upgrade their offense by selecting a wide receiver in the draft. With that in mind, here are three likely teams that will pick Waddle in the 2021 NFL Draft.

1. New York Giants (No. 11 Overall)

The New York Giants could be looking to draft an offensive playmaker capable of beating opposing defenses in a variety of ways. Waddle fits that role to a tee as he can rack up yards after the catch and run crisp deep routes. Lining Waddle up alongside Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton would give quarterback Daniel Jones a strong trio of reliable go-to options in the passing game. Plus, Waddle has shown he can contribute in other ways, as he returned both punts and kickoffs during his time at Alabama. With the top receivers likely gone at this spot, Waddle may be the Giants' pick.

2. New England Patriots (No. 15 Overall)

Another team looking to upgrade their offense during the draft is the New England Patriots. With a number of defensive players returning after opting out last season, the Patriots can use this first-round pick to address the offensive holes. No matter who is their starting quarterback next season, the team could benefit from drafting a top wide receiver prospect like Waddle. He has game-breaking speed and the type of strong physicality that allows him to line up anywhere on the offense. Waddle could be the spark plug the team needs in order to be a playoff-caliber team.

3. Arizona Cardinals (No. 16 Overall)

Any opposing defense knows it would be a tall order to shut down both DeAndre Hopkins and Waddle on the same team. So, the Cardinals could use their first-round pick to create an unstoppable duo at wide receiver. With veteran wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald contemplating retirement, Arizona needs to build depth at the position now more than ever. Upgrading Kyler Murray's weapons could be the one thing the Cardinals need to do to get over the hump and into the playoffs for the first time since 2015. This is the perfect spot to take a chance on a player like Waddle.
