Week 6 Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Texans vs Colts
By Larry Rupp

The Indianapolis Colts will look to rebound in Week 5 when they host the struggling Houston Texans in a divisional matchup. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Colts slated as 9.5-point favorites, which means this game could be out of hand by the time the fourth quarter starts.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 6 AFC South clash.
Brandin Cooks Fantasy
Start Brandin Cooks, WR, Houston Texans: Don't let one bad performance fool you. New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has built a reputation for focusing on an opponent's No. 1 weapon and removing them from the game. Wide receiver Brandin Cooks remains the only player worth starting on the Houston Texans. Cooks is tied for seventh in the NFL with 31 receptions this season and currently ranks as the WR18 in PPR scoring leagues. He draws a decent matchup in Week 6 going up against an Indianapolis defense that has allowed the eighth-most PPR fantasy points to opposing WRs. Cooks is a reliable WR2 this week.
Indianapolis Colts D/ST Fantasy
Start Indianapolis Colts D/ST: This is the perfect time to pick up the Colts D/ST off the waiver wire and slide them into a starting spot. Indianapolis is now tied as the eighth-highest scoring defensive unit in fantasy football and has posted at least 1 takeaway in every game this year. The Texans average the fourth-lowest total yards per game in the NFL (282.6) as well as just 17.8 points per game (No. 29 in NFL). Rookie quarterback Davis Mills has thrown 5 interceptions in four games played. That makes any defense starting across from him a viable start.
Mark Ingram Fantasy
Sit Mark Ingram, RB, Houston Texans: Veteran running back Mark Ingram has seemingly taken control of the Houston backfield after he handled 16 of the 24 team rushing attempts in Week 5. He still shouldn't be started in fantasy football, though. The Texans are 9.5-point underdogs in Week 6 and will likely abandon the run when they get down early on. At least that's been the case over the last few weeks. Ingram is averaging just 3.1 yards per carry this season and now faces a Colts' defense that has posted the second-best rush defense DVOA rating in the NFL. Ingram may be worth a bench spot, but that is it for now.
Carson Wentz Fantasy
Sit Carson Wentz, QB, Indianapolis Colts: Similar to Cooks, don't let recency bias take control when looking at quarterback Carson Wentz this week. The Colts' starter threw for a season-high 402 passing yards in Week 5, but also lost a costly fumble down near the goal line in the second quarter. Wentz continues to struggle putting up consistent numbers and ranks as the QB21 in fantasy scoring. The Texans have put together and underrated defense in 2021, too. Houston has posted the ninth-best pass defense DVOA rating and has given up just 7 passing touchdowns (T-No. 10 in NFL). It's best to avoid Wentz if you're looking to stream a QB this week.
