The Washington Football Team will look to keep hold of the final NFC Wild Card spot when they visit the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15 NFL action. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Eagles slated as 6.5-point home favorites in a game that is sure to have fantasy football implications.
Fantasy Football Playoffs Advice
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 15 NFC East showdown.
Antonio Gibson Fantasy
Start Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington Football Team: Washington's offense is a mess right now and it wouldn't be surprising to see them lean on running back Antonio Gibson is a crucial divisional game. The former Memphis Tiger has proven to be capable of handling a big workload after rushing for 199 yards on 52 combined carries in Weeks 12 & 13. Philadelphia has been susceptible to pass-catching RBs this season, giving up 87 receptions to the position overall (T-No. 28 in NFL). Look for Gibson to make his mark in through the air (6.7 yards per catch) and finish as a borderline RB1 on Sunday.
DeVonta Smith Fantasy
Start DeVonta Smith, WR, Philadelphia Eagles: Fantasy managers have a right to be worried about DeVonata Smith given he has racked up just 37 yards on 4 receptions over his last two games. However, he couldn't have asked for a much better matchup in Week 15. Washington has posted the sixth-worst pass-defense DVOA rating, according to Football Outsiders, and is giving up the third-most PPR fantasy points to opposing WRs. The return of starting quarterback Jalen Hurts should also help Smith see a bit more work in this one.
Terry McLaurin Fantasy
Sit Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington Football Team: It has not been a pleasant couple of weeks for fantasy managers rostering wide receiver Terry McLaurin. The third-year pro has failed to post double-digit PPR fantasy points in any of his three games and finished Week 14 without a single catch. He draws a tough matchup on Sunday going up against an Eagles defense that is allowing the fourth-fewest PPR fantasy points to opposing WRs. Keep in mind that McLaurin has entered the NFL's concussion protocol and there's a chance he doesn't even suit up. It'd be best to avoid starting him this week.
Jordan Howard Fantasy
Sit Jordan Howard, RB, Philadelphia Eagles: Running back Jordan Howard is expected to make his return in Week 15, but that doesn't mean he should be inserted into your starting lineup. Starting back Miles Sanders saw a career-high 24 carries in Week 14 and took over a game for the first time all year. Meanwhile, Howard is coming back from a knee injury and may be eased back into action. The only upside that comes with starting the 27-year-old is the possibility he scores a touchdown. Washington has only given up 6 rushing touchdowns to opposing RBs all year, though. Howard is merely a handcuff option moving forward.
