Minnesota Vikings star Dalvin Cook picked up a right ankle sprain in the team's Week 2 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The injury kept him sidelined for the first couple days of practice, but there wasn't much cause for alarm.
However, the latest update is concerning as Sunday approaches.
Dalvin Cook Injury
Cook didn't practice once again on Friday and is now listed officially as questionable, which puts his playing status in serious jeopardy. The fact that he only stretched before leaving isn't a great sign regarding his health ahead of the team's Week 3 clash against the Seattle Seahawks.
Being without the star RB would be a huge loss ahead of Sunday's tilt. Cook suffered the ankle injury late against the Cardinals, but he still went off for 131 yards on 22 carries while adding 2 receptions for 17 yards.
Alexander Mattison would be in line to be the lead back if Cook is sidelined against Seattle. He recorded 121 yards on 31 carries across two starts without Cook last year.
Minnesota is a 2.5-point underdog ahead of Sunday's game, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
