VIDEO: Remembering When This Girl Destroyed the First Baseman While Running Out Hit in Softball Game One Year Later

Baseball and softball are both known for their potentially violent plays at home plate. When players are trying to score and the catcher is in the way, it can produce some pretty nasty collisions.

One thing you don't see nearly as often is first basemen getting drilled like a catcher does. It really only happens when there is an errant throw to first base that causes the first basemen to fade into the runner's path.

That's exactly what happened to this poor first baseman a little over one year ago today, and oh boy it did not go well for her. She got ran through like a freight train through a wet paper bag.

In all honesty, you hope the girl is ok first and foremost, but that was a hit for the ages. It really reminds you how dangerous these type of plays in both softball and baseball can get.
