Few things help young people bond quite as much as professional sports and that's exactly what fans saw during Thursday's San Diego Padres vs. Philadelphia Phillies matchup.
After a foul ball was hit into the stands, an adult fan picked it up and handed it to a kid, who happened to be Phillies left fielder Nick Castellanos' son, Liam. However, instead of keeping the ball, Liam opted to toss it to another young fan.
The moment was absolutely heartwarming and, fortunately, captured on video. Have a look at the moment below because it'll absolutely make your Friday.
The younger Castellanos probably has tons of baseballs from his father at home, but the wonderful gesture proves what kind of young man he is.
This isn't the first time this week that Liam has been in the news, though. He was actually hit in the head by a foul ball during a Phillies game on Tuesday but ended up walking away with nothing more than a small mark on his forehead.
At the end of the day, it's awesome to see young fans getting involved with the sport of baseball. Only time will tell what foul ball antics will lead to Liam Castellanos popping up on social media next.
