VIDEO: Fans Give Kevin Pillar Heartwarming Reception in Return From Gruesome Injury

Halfway through the month of May, New York Mets outfielder Kevin Pillar suffered one of the most gruesome injuries evident in sports. Pillar was drilled by an upper 90-mph fastball that accidentally made square contact with his face.
Clearly, Pillar has the toughness and willingness to battle through such a severe injury. The 32-year-old outfielder debuted his return during a pinch-hit opportunity on Monday, less than two full weeks after the initial injury.
Fans came out in full force, despite playing on the road against the Arizona Diamondbacks, to offer a heartwarming welcome for this return. Check out the video below.
