VIDEO: Francisco Lindor Has Funny Reaction After Hitting Foul Ball Against Marlins

Sometimes it can be easy to forget that athletes are human too. Despite everything they can accomplish in their respective sports, they're also prone to some pretty hilarious blunders.
New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor had his own comedic moment against the Miami Marlins on Friday night. With no outs and the go-ahead run on second base at the top of the 11th inning, Lindor hit a foul ball. The foul itself wasn't as funny as much as it was the $341 million man's reaction afterwards.
The highlight posted by Reddit user u/Lurker5719263845 shows Lindor frozen in time as the foul ball went sailing into the stands. It certainly is reminiscent of someone's controller dying in the middle of an intense video game or as if the shortstop couldn't compute what was happening.
Unfortunately, this highlight is one of the few positive things that Lindor has done this year. While he does have 27 hits in 163 plate appearances, he only has 3 home runs and 9 RBI on the season. He's also slashing at a career-worst .197/.304/.292, so it's no wonder why he hasn't been productive. That's just straight-up disappointing for a player who's making $34 million a season into 2031.
At the end of the day, Mets fans are hoping that Lindor keeps his controller fully charged for the remainder of the season.
