The USC Trojans will be without their top offensive weapon for the rest of the 2021 NCAA college football season. The team announced Sunday that wideout Drake London will miss the remainder of the year with an ankle fracture.

Drake London Injury Update

London suffered the injury during USC's 41-34 Week 9 victory over the Arizona Wildcats. The junior wideout fractured his ankle when he was tackled during a touchdown pass. He was then helped off the field and ruled out for the remainder of the game.

This injury comes at an awful time with London shaping up to be one of the top wide receiver prospects in college football. He was in the middle of a breakout season that saw him record career highs in receptions (88), receiving yards (1,084) and touchdowns (7) in just eight games.

Eventually, London will have to start thinking about the future. On one hand, he can declare for the 2022 NFL Draft and hope that a team can look past his injury. On the other, he can return next season for his senior year to try and boost his stock.

In the meantime, USC will turn its attention to a Week 10 matchup against the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Trojans are currently seen as 9.5-point underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
