Placement on the COVID-19 list has clouded Tyler Lockett's Week 15 fantasy outlook throughout the week, and those fears were confirmed just hours before kickoff on Tuesday afternoon.

The Seattle Seahawks were not able to activate Lockett from the COVID list ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Los Angeles Rams, crushing his Week 15 fantasy outlook.

After operating as WR16 in PPR leagues throughout the season, Lockett was primed for another big week. He was listed as WR16 on The Duel's PPR rankings in Week 15 ahead of an enticing matchup against the Rams.

Los Angeles allows the 11th-most PPR points to opposing wideouts this season despite ranking eighth in Football Outsiders' pass-defense DVOA metric.

Lockett has also been on a tear over the past two weeks, putting up WR5 numbers thanks to a pair of touchdowns and 210 receiving yards on 12 receptions (17 targets) since Week 13.

D.K. Metcalf Fantasy Outlook

Lockett's 93 targets (7.2 targets per game) lead all Seahawks receivers and presumed No. 1 WR D.K. Metcalf is likely the biggest beneficiary of his absence.

This absence has the chance to turn around Metcalf's cold streak after hauling in just 3.4 receptions and 0 TDs since Week 10. Those WR56 numbers are a far cry from Metcalf's WR8 performance in Weeks 1-9.
