Arizona Cardinals fans have to be getting anxious regarding quarterback Kyler Murray's contract situation. The franchise starter is skipping voluntary workouts as he seeks a new deal.
A couple of Murray's teammates have now publicly weighed in, with Patrick Peterson and Chase Edmonds sounding off on the Cards' front office.

Edmonds appeared on Peterson's All Things Covered podcast and agreed that Murray isn't being surrounded by a roster capable of winning. Peterson has made eight Pro Bowls, so it's fair to say he knows what it elite play looks like. He also knows that Murray is as much of a competitor as he is.
"I feel like they don’t put the team in a position to be successful year after year after year. And Kyler Murray’s not gonna sit around and wait for that.”- Patrick Peterson on Arizona Front Office
Edmonds claims he saw this sort of thing coming given the fact the type of winner Murray wants to be on the field. The Cardinals made the playoffs this past season, but were destroyed by the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card Round by a score of 34-11. It was certainly less than an ideal result.
While teams are driven by dynamic quarterbacks in the NFL, this offseason has proven that a team is not afraid to move on from one if that opportunity arises. Russell Wilson was dealt to the Denver Broncos and Deshaun Watson was traded to the Cleveland Browns in a pair of blockbuster moves.
Peterson & Edmonds think Murray could be next in the chopping block if things don't start taking a positive turn soon. It goes hand in hand with Peterson's comment about the organization being unable to retain their best players. That includes letting star Chandler Jones walk this offseason.
A few of Murray's former teammates have definitely thrown some more gas on an already blazing fire.
