It's been a mostly disappointing season for Todd Gurley, who has only missed one game due to injury, but who has also failed to eclipse 97 rushing yards in a game. Now, Gurley is fresh off the Los Angeles Rams' Week 9 bye, with a matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers awaiting in Week 10.

Gurley is coming off a Week 8 performance against the Cincinnati Bengals in which he rushed 10 times for 44 yards and a touchdown. He failed to catch any passes on only one target, however, and has been mostly invisible in the passing game this season. Outside of catching seven balls for 54 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4, Gurley has failed to exceed three catches or 13 receiving yards in a game this season.

Gurley has scored seven touchdowns in 2019, as he is still the Rams' preferred option at or near the goal line. The touchdowns have saved his bottom line, as Gurley is the RB25 in standard scoring leagues, despite his unimpressive yardage totals (355 rushing, 81 receiving) through eight games.

While Gurley has been part of the problem, the Rams' offensive line play has also been an issue this season. The unit has gone from one of the league's best to worst this season, and will need create more opportunities for Gurley if he has a real shot to get going in the second half of the season.

While Gurley's Week 10 matchup is not great on paper (the Steelers give up the seventh-fewest fantasy point to running backs), the Rams should dominate possession against the Steelers and put Gurley in a position to succeed despite the obstacles he has faced. Gurley is the 13th ranked RB in our Week 10 PPR rankings.
