The Tennessee Titans got hot at the right time last season, going on a run that left them one game shy of the Super Bowl. The team's odds to make the playoffs suggest they could be in a position similar to last season's Wild Card berth, with -134 odds to make the postseason, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Tennessee got terrific quarterback play from an unlikely source last season, as Ryan Tannehill put up a 117.5 passer rating and averaged 13.6 yards per completion. The Titans' offense had been mediocre for a long time, with the quarterback play being one of the aspects holding them back. After getting consistency from Tannehill last season, they were wise to sign him to a four-year deal.

The other aspect that worked for the offense was Derrick Henry, who led the NFL in rushing with 1,540 yards in 15 games played. With Henry and Tannehill both back on the team, it's fair to expect a solid season from Tennessee. And that's certainly backed up by the odds.

Aside from the Titans looking ready to compete yet again, they could benefit from playing in the lackluster AFC South. The Indianapolis Colts (-154) have the best odds to make the playoffs in the division, but the Titans are a close second and are well ahead of the Houston Texans (+144) and Jacksonville Jaguars (+680).

Whether it's through a Wild Card berth or by winning the division, Tennessee should be in the hunt for a postseason spot in 2020.
