The Detroit Tigers have struggled after a 2021 season that looked to have some promise for the future. Although, Detroit has gone 5-3 over its last eight games, and even more reinforcements are on the way.

Austin Meadows is currently dealing with vertigo, but is now scheduled to be back in the lineup on Tuesday. He was brought in from Tampa to add some offense to this Tigers lineup, which hasn't exactly worked out so far. Meadows has 0 home runs and is hitting .267 on the year in 28 games played.

On top of Meadows, there are a few players preparing to start their rehab assignments. Ace of the pitching staff, Eduardo Rodriguez, and outfielders Robbie Grossman and Vic Reyes are all expected to begin their rehab assignments soon.

Grossman, also has struggled this season, hitting below the Mendoza line at .199 in 42 games played. Rodriguez might be the ace of the staff, but he's put up a 1-3 record with a 4.38 ERA in 8 starts thus far.

While these guys have struggled this season, injuries could have played a part in it, and all were and are expected to be legitimate contributors in Detroit this season. Time will tell if they can turn things around upon their respective returns.
