With Monday marking the end of MLB team's ability to carry more than 13 pitchers on the active roster, plenty of franchises will have some tough calls to make as they are forced to trim or alter their rosters.

The Detroit Tigers are one of the teams that needed to drop of a pitcher on Monday, and they have selected veteran reliever Drew Hutchison.

Hutchinson, has been disappointing this season, as much of the Tigers roster has, but still, this isn't a necessarily surprising choice. He has made 12 appearances and two starts this season, pitching to a 4.81 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP. The Tigers were Hutchison's fifth team in seven big league seasons.

In a corresponding move, the Tigers reinstated infielder Jeimer Candelario from the IL. Expected to be a solid bat in the Tigers lineup this season, Candelario has struggled too, hitting just .181 so far after hitting .271 and .297 the last two seasons.
