Hello, greetings earthlings. After one of the worst don't-send-me-into-elimination arguments in show history, Jenn's time on "The Challenge: Total Madness" has come to an end. But unlike Jenn, if you followed our advice and had her in your lineup, you probably didn't walk away empty handed.
Here at The Duel, we'll be providing weekly power rankings and fantasy picks for each episode. Here are our picks for Week 3.
The Challenge Fantasy Picks Week 3
It's a guy's elimination week, and we're picking Jay as our MVP. Being a rookie, he's going to be a candidate to be thrown into an elimination, and fantasy players earn 0.3 points per vote cast against a competitor they select. With 26 competitors still in the game, this is an easy way to rack up points early on. Jay has also already proven himself, earning a red skull in Week 1. Winning elimination notches fantasy players 4 points – the highest point total given out for a single action.
Looking at the sneak peek for this week's episode, it seems like there could be some beef between Ashley and Bananas. Bananas is always a solid bet to be shown in confessionals (worth 0.6 points per instance), and if he's butting heads with Ashley it's fair to assume she'll rack up screen time as well. Altercations with Bananas also always have the chance to end in tears, and tears earn fantasy players a healthy 1.0 points.
Rogan has been a stud this season, both as an actual competitor and a fantasy producer, averaging the second-most fantasy points per game among the male competitors. It's hard to see that changing this week. Dee, Rogan's ex whom he's currently bunking below, hinted she may have eyes for Jay earlier in the season. That could lead to a lot of things – all of them being good for fantasy players.
The Challenge Power Rankings Week 3
The following power rankings break down the long-term outlook of which competitors have the best chance at winning the show outright.
3. CT — This season, CT is doing what Wes has only talked about doing – lying low. Don't let that fool you, though, CT is one of the best competitors in show history and has a real shot to win. His resume gives him a slight edge over Wes – for now.
1. Bananas — Tom Brady. Michael Jordan. Johnny Bananas. Three legends that dominated their respective sport for the better part of two decades. Bananas hasn't been at his peak recently, but the alliance with Wes could get him his seventh title – something not even Brady and Jordan can say.
4. Nany — A rock-solid competitor with a strong social game, Nany is always a threat to win it all.
1. Jenny — Jenny gets a slight edge over Tori here. She's undoubtedly the best female athlete on the show, and has already earned a red skull – albeit against an easy target. It's hard to imagine anyone taking her out one-on-one.
