Tee Higgins Fantasy Outlook Positions Him With Breakout Potential After Strong Rookie Campaign

As a second-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins outperformed most everybody's expectations during his rookie campaign.
The former Clemson Tiger went for 908 receiving yards on 67 receptions and added some end zone threat with 6 touchdowns. Those stats had him on pace as WR28 in PPR fantasy scoring leagues on a per-game basis.
But, the kicker here, was the young wideout's pace prior to Bengals QB Joe Burrow going down with a season-ending injury in Week 11.
With a healthy Burrow and an additional wide receiver threat in 2021 draftee Ja'Marr Chase, Higgins is in position for a big breakout campaign in his second NFL season.

Tee Higgins Fantasy Value
Burrow's injury was a blow to fantasy football owners with Higgins on their team in 2020. Prior to that gruesome season-ending injury, Higgins was on pace for a potential Rookie of the Year campaign. In fact, after Burrow went down, with subpar quarterback play and a team mentally preparing for the 2021 campaign, Higgins caught just one touchdown over the final five weeks.
The Bengals took a step back as they went on to finish just 4-11-1. According to FantasyPros, Cincinnati went from passing the ball 62% of the time with Burrow under center to just 53% following the injury. FantasyPros sees some upside to Higgins as they ranked him WR28 entering the 2021 campaign. The Duel staff has Higgins ranked as WR26.
But, there's so much to like about Higgins in his second season. Another year under his belt working with Burrow, more threats on the outside, and the Bengals looking to compete throughout the entire year instead of shutting it down by Week 11.
Higgins will look to solidify himself as the definitive No. 2 wideout in Cincinnati this season. The Bengals will likely air it out more than years past, especially with Burow preparing for a full season, and in this case, more threats equal more opportunities for every wide receiver on the Bengals roster.
